3D television was not a big hit with consumers which means that the home electronics companies are looking for a new thing to try and push consumer demand. That new feature looks to be 4K or UltraHD television. With four times the resolution of HDTV, it offers a much more detailed picture but also means that it has a lot more data that needs to be carried over the cables. While the existing HDMI 1.4 specification is able to handle it, it is at the extreme limits of its capabilities. As a result, the industry was waiting for an updated specification and now it is finally here. So, what exactly is different about HDMI 2.0?

Why You Should Hold Off On Getting a Chromecast
Google announced its media extender just last week and the device has been selling like mad. Much of this was probably from the very low $35 price tag and the initial offer for a three month trial of Netflix that was pulled in less than 24 hours after it went on sale. Even though it may be extremely affordable, I’m not intending to get one right away and I think consumers should do the same.
